AskToMove

The request that starts every ownership change in Onli — nothing moves without your explicit approval.

The request that starts every ownership change. Nothing in Onli moves without your explicit approval.

When an Appliance wants to move one of your assets, it doesn't just take it. It sends an AskToMove request. You receive a notification in Onli You showing exactly what's being requested, by whom, and where it would go.

You review the details and make a decision: approve or deny. If you approve, the ownership transfer executes and the asset moves. If you deny, nothing happens.

Think of it like someone asking, "May I have this?" You can always say no.

How it works

  1. An Appliance calls AskToMove through the Onli Cloud API
  2. You receive a notification in Onli You
  3. You see the request details: what, from whom, to where
  4. You explicitly accept or deny
  5. If accepted, the ownership transfer executes
  6. If denied, nothing happens — the decision is recorded

This is a structural rule, not a policy. No one — not an app, not an administrator, not anyone in the system — can move your assets without your authorization.
